2013 Annual Reading Roundup

Per tradition, it's time for my annual wrap-up of all the books I read in 2013. For some reason, I couldn't crank through the books like I have in years past, but I didn't do *too* badly (compared to some folks, I guess). I hate when you read the duds or get stuck in a title for ages and ages...still, I had some good reads too!

On with the stats!

Number of books read in 2013: 132 titles
Number of books read in 2012 (for comparison): 122 titles
Average of books read per month: 11 books
Average of books read per week: 2.54 books
Daily average: 1 book read every 2.77 days
Percent of fiction read: 85%
Percent of nonfiction read: 15%
Number of audiobooks "read": 18
Number of books read in the Kindle: 9

And now, for the best books of the year (in my humble opinion, of course!), in author alphabetical order...

(I still have a few reviews to post - forthcoming, I promise!)

Brockmole, Jessica. Letters From Skye.

Cahalan, Susannah. Brain on Fire.

Dare, Tessa. A Night to Surrender.

Day, Sylvia. Bared to You trilogy.

 Flynn, Gillian. Sharp Objects.

Hayes, Suzanne and Nyhan, Loretta. I'll Be Seeing You.

Hilderbrand, Elin. The Island.

James, Eloisa. Once Upon a Tower.

Koppel, Lily. The Astronaut Wives Club.

McCreight, Kimberly. Reconstructing Amelia.

Moriarty, Liane. The Husband's Secret.

Moyes, JoJo. Me Before You.

Moyes, JoJo. The Girl You Left Behind.

Picoult, Jodi. The Storyteller.

Stedman, M.L. The Light Between Oceans.

Runaway faves? Both books by Jojo Moyes - what a talented storyteller! Un-put-down-able!

What were your favorite reads this year that I should add to my TBR list?
