Romance Reviews

I know I'm a sucker for a good romance novel, so of COURSE those are always in the mix when I'm reading!

Here's a few I've read lately...

Entwined in You by Sylvia Day is a bit of a rug-puller. This is the third in the erotica "Crossfire" trilogy, and again features Eva and Gideon and their complicated relationship, and just when you think everything might be tied up and finished...Day stops, and you realize there is going to be another book! ARGH! Still, a really good erotica series - *so* much better than Fifty Shades and it's horrifyingly poor writing.

Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich (Janet's niece) is much in the same vein as her famous auntie...light and breezy writing and tone, a likeable heroine, and a predictable - but still enjoyable - romance. Holly has been eating away her grief and loneliness since her husband's death, and a chance meeting with personal trainer Logan sets her on a totally different path. Fast and fun!

Once Upon a Tower by Eloisa James is another in her send-offs of classic fairytales, this time tackling Rapunzel. This lovely Regency novel, however, features a fiery Scot, a fever, a hasty marriage and yes, a tower. :-) I adore all of James' fairytale novels, and this was another great one!

Once is Never Enough by Mira Lyn Kelly is another novel in the new Harlequin "Kiss" imprint, and I picked up a copy at ALA to read. Nothing earther-shattering, but a solid story of a romance coming back around for another swing.
