2012 Annual Reading Wrap Up

Per tradition, it's time for my annual wrap-up of all the books I read in 2012. For some reason, I couldn't crank through the books like I have in years past, but I didn't do *too* badly (compared to some folks, I guess). I hate when you read the duds or get stuck in a title...still, I had some good reads too!

On with the stats!

Number of books read in 2012: 122 titles
Number of books read in 2011 (for comparison): 154 titles
Average of books read per month: 10.17 books
Average of books read per week: 2.35 books
Daily average: 1 book read every 2.99 days
Percent of fiction read: 86%
Percent of nonfiction read: 14%
Number of audiobooks "read": 17
Number of books read in the Kindle: 17

And now, for the best books of the year (in my humble opinion, of course!), in author alphabetical order...

Barr, Nevada. The Rope. F.

Flynn, Gillian. Gone Girl. F.

Gideon, Melanie. Wife 22. F.

Giffin, Emily. Where We Belong. F, AB.

Green, John. The Fault In Our Stars. YA.

Harkness, Deborah. A Discovery of Witches. F, K.

Hilderbrand, Elin. Silver Girl. F, AB.

LaBan, Elizabeth. The Tragedy Paper. F, YA.

Roberts, Nora. Northern Lights. F, AB.

Roth, Veronica. Divergent. F, YA.

Strayed, Cheryl. Wild. NF.

(Runaway faves would be The Fault in Our Stars, Wild, and Gone Girl...)

What were your favorite reads this year that I should add to my TBR list?
