First off, we visited the roadside "snow thermometer" for the Keweenaw...impressive, no? It shows the top snowfall ever, as well as last year's (which was very low)...

We went back to Eagle River again (are you rolling your eyes at us yet? I love this space!), and stopped to see the waterfall...pretty puny...

Then to the beach to exercise the hound...
And some of us took this to heart more than others. ;-)

Then we took a fairly scary, fairly hidden, fairly tiny road to a famous "agate beach"...we wouldn't know an agate if it hit us in the head, but others were finding them...

Pretty, but not my favorite...

By the time we navigated back to a main road, we were starving, so we splurged on hot dogs and turtle sundaes for fortification. ;-)
It was bittersweet to leave the cabin the next morning - we had such a wonderful time, but we knew we were traveling towards seeing dear friends....
