Last Books of 2009

A mini-round up of the last few books I read in 2009...

Like a Charm by Candace Havens

High powered attorney comes home to small town, inherits a library, is surrounded by magic. A fun, breezy read!

Mating Season by Jon Loomis

Though the second in a series, I jumped right in. Set in P'town, MA, this mystery is rife with sex, a murder, and a LOT of quirky characters. Easy to read, and I really enjoyed it!

Vision in White by Nora Roberts

First in a planned quartet of books about a wedding business run by four girlfriends. It was okay, but wasn't up to usual Roberts standards in my opinion. Don't think I'll read any others in the series...

Instant Attraction by Jill Shalvis

I really enjoyed this chick lit novel, full of well-rounded characters, a beautiful setting, and a great romance. I want to read the other two in the series now!

What My Girlfriend Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones

I absolutely LOVED this YA novel, written entirely in verse. It didn't take long to read, but it just flowed and told such a great story in such a unique way. Great for reluctant readers and lovers of YA fic alike! Loved it!

At the King's Command by Susan Wiggs

This is a reprinted edition of this novel written years ago by Wiggs. I love anything set in Tudor times, but the story could have been set in any period, and had little to do with the Tudor court. Original and interesting, but not what I was expecting - I love the court life novels!
