White Elephant Auction

Since I'm the co-chair of TinyTown's Relay for Life this year, I really want my library team to be a leader in raising money, so I've been trying to think of creative ways to do that, without waiting until a few weeks before the event!

Last Friday night, I put together a White Elephant Auction for the library team, and we had a BLAST! Everyone brought in new or gently used items they didn't want anymore, I acted as the goofy auctioneer, and everyone bid on items from everyone else - in some cases, it got heated and hilarious!

I was hoping for raise $100 a so - I would have considered that a tidy sum.

Instead, between bids and donations, we raised almost $325! Go team!

We all had a great time!

Ready to Bid!

Too bad the fake aquarium I won and then plugged in that night as a nightlight caused Zoe to have a barking come apart at 4:30 in the morning. Sigh. ;-)
