I got to do a neat thing this morning.
I woke up at 5am (okay, that part WASN'T neat) and traveled to Jasper, IN for the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" event - the first event of its kind in this area.
This event was different from a typical Relay - not only did all the money go towards breast cancer research, but it was a 5K event, rather than an all-day event.
We set off through the woods along the RiverWalk, and over 3 miles later, in glorious sunshine, we ended our walk with a celebratory bottle of water and a granola bar.
It was nicely organized, easy to participate, all the fundraising was online, and I still got home in time to do things around the house - after I took a nap, of course. ;-)
If you have the chance to be part of a MSABC event next October, I recommend it!
